dTMS for Depression and Depression with Anxiety

Depression is the most common psychological disorder. Depression is a leading cause of disability worldwide and is a major contributor to the overall global burden of disease. (WHO 2021). Anxiety is very commonly associated with Depression. In Canada, Depression and Anxiety are mainly treated by pharmacological interventions, which are widely available under public and private health insurances. Yet, about half of the patients prove resistant to this form of treatment, meaning, prolonging the time they may need to spend on medical absence from their places of work and affecting the quality of their lives.

As a non-pharmacological intervention, dTMS helps these types of patients to get better and stay stable, improving their chance of resuming work faster and staying at work longer. This also improves the quality of life and interpersonal relationships tremendously.
